About Maribeth
The Technology Executive Mid-Market Companies Have Been Missing
For decades, enterprise-grade technology leadership — the kind that builds data infrastructure, governs AI adoption, and creates competitive advantage — has been out of reach for mid-market companies. Maribeth Achterberg changes that.
Executive Biography
Maribeth Achterberg is an AI and digital transformation executive who spent decades leading technology initiatives inside Fortune 500 organizations and, most recently, as Chief Information Technology Officer at The Boldt Group. She has built data governance frameworks, led enterprise-wide digital transformation programs, and guided organizations through the complex intersection of technology strategy and business performance.
Today, Maribeth serves as a Fractional CIO, CTO, CDO, CIDO, and CITO for mid-market and PE-backed companies — bringing the same depth of capability that has traditionally given large enterprises a structural advantage. Her mission is direct: help mid-market companies build the technology, data, and governance foundations needed to compete in an AI-driven economy.
As a Board Director, Maribeth provides boards with the technology fluency they need to govern AI adoption, cybersecurity risk, and digital transformation investments with confidence. She speaks the language of both the boardroom and the data center — translating complex technology decisions into business outcomes that matter to investors, operators, and leadership teams alike.
"My mission is to help mid-market and PE-backed companies build the same technology, data, and governance capabilities that have traditionally given large enterprises a competitive advantage — creating a foundation for growth, innovation, and successful AI adoption."
